Just thought I'd follow up on this for future searches. I recently<br>swapped out my video card and since then my lock ups have been a lot<br>less frequent. Note however, that I also upgraded by kernel version<br>along with the video card so that may also have been a factor.

<br>My system is very stable... the only time it goes down is during an extended power outage. Have you done all of the normal lockup troubleshooting:<br><br>1) Testing memory with memtest86.<br>2) Making sure swap space is available and is working properly.
<br>3) Checking to ensure you have a clean power supply (maybe a UPS will help).<br>4) Checking to see that all of the fans in the machine are working to spec (heat problem?)<br><br>- Joe<br>
