Hello, I posted a similar question about about a month ago and I'm still searching for an answer.&nbsp; Can a motherboard with an integrated Intel GMA 900 chipset handle HD (720p + 1080i) with the XvMC driver? The intel specs say it can but they don't say if the Linux drivers support it.&nbsp; Any definetive articles I find on the web are Windows specific.&nbsp; The Linux discussions seem to degrade into arguments instead of coming to any conclusions.

Can anyone here point me to an article or does someone have any personal experience with this chipset and XvMC?&nbsp; There's a box that would make a great FE for me if I can make this chipset work. As a secondary question: Does the PCI interface have the bandwidth to handle an HD stream?&nbsp; That is - if the GMA 900 can't do HD can I put in a PCI graphics card that will?
