Hi all, sorry if this has been covered before, but I have been unable to find it. I have a large collection of childrens DVD's for
my daughter. I wanted to rip all of them to the mythbox, so that I had instant access to all of them. I also wanted to
encode the main titles only as xvid to conserve space. That and my daughter doesn't need any of the bonus features, etc.
I have been able to rip them on my windows box and transcode them no problem. However the audio and video never
sync. I have tried every option in all the ripping/encoding tools and still no luck.

What I wanted to do, was put the movie in the dvd player, hook the svideo output of the dvd player into the
svideo input of the pvr250. Play the dvd, record it off of the svideo input and then transcode it to xvid.
Complicated I know, but it beats transcoding for hours only to realize the audio is off sync.
My basic question is, this seems possible, but has anyone tried this or know for a fact that it is or is not
possible.

thanks
joe
