I have a .19 backend and frontend I'm happy with. I have lots of
storage and piles of shows recorded. I'd like to be able to archive
off some stuff like Digging for the Truth and other archaelogy stuff I
have managed to find, but I don't have MythArchive.

I was on the myth site looking at myth burn and they say it's halted
and they are working with mytharchive now.

I am curious as to what it would take to make my system run the SVN
version so I get mytharchive available?

Since this is my 'good' and working setup should I just wait until
myth .20 is out? I managed to pull off the upgrade from .18 to .19 and
all the changes ivtv needed, so I'm pretty confident I can get the
bugs hammered flat making the move to SVN, but I know zero about it.

Is there anyone who can offer some tips on getting into this?

Thanks.

--
-=/>Thom
_______________________________________________

I am currently running off the SVN now on Ubuntu and I can say that there is not much to it as long as you compile properly for your distro and install the dependencies for the different plugins. With that said I haven't checked since my last SVN update but I was unable to run mytharchive because of errors. It does look like it is going to be nice but I haven't had time to look in to the error messages. Unless you are willing to loose your main system for a little while you hammer out learning how to do Myth this way I would probably hold off until you know MythArchive is going to work for you. That's just my two cents and if you are running Ubuntu I can pass on all my notes that I used when moving from .19 to SVN. Good luck
