I have a Samsung TX-P3264 HD *capable* TV that is connected to my newish Mythbox. This new Mythbox is using a VIA EPIA SP 13000. The output to the TV is currently S-Video and I can't seem to get a mode that will give me good clean output to the edge of the tube. The TV is capable of decoding a 480p or 1080i signal. (It was a low-end HD capable TV when I bought it.)

The TV has the following choices for inputs: old-style RCA jacks (video, audio l & r), S-Video, component video (using RCA jacks) and DVI-I. From what I've read so far, I would think that the best choice would be to use a VGA to DVI-A cable and tune the modeline for the best output given what the TV will accept. Looking at the manual I ran across this statement - "The DIGITAL INPUT jack is not compatible with the picture signal of a personal computer". I don't know what to make of that statement and now I'm uncertain about which way to proceed.

Anyone have an opinion, knowledge or experience to guide me one way or the other?

But for the underscan and a little pin-cushioning this new Mythbox is so much better than the one it replaced. (Based on an EPIA M9000 board.) The features and polish have come a long way since my last update (around .14 or so).
