Speaking on the subject of firewire...

Is there any way to avoid a battle between who gets assigned what node? Lets say I have a power outage, and the computer and cable box both automatically turn back on. Well if the computer comes up first, then the cable box seems to have a different node then if the cable box comes up first. This can make for some ugly difficulties when myth automatically comes back up, especially if I'm away for a few days.
