Well I am convinced that it is a bug. What to do with it. Not sure how
or where to start ... but here is me thinking out loud:<br>
<ol>
<li>Verify the media. Check resolution settings. I guess this could
be done by setting the debug level higher and playing the file on myth.
I think it will just yield a confirmation it is ok...so probably not
worth it.<br>

<li>Verify our setup. If someone could send or make available for
download a small mpeg from a different myth/hardware which definitely
can be decoded, then maybe we could put that into our box and verify
that our setup can encode it to eg. xvid no problem.</li>
<li>Compare our media with good media in terms of what nuvexport
thinks it is.</li>
<li>Test whether the bug is in mythtranscode. Somehow intercept the
stream during playback and save it to disk. Then do the same via
mythtranscode before reencoding. Check the data. If there is something
changed, why has it changed? Ofcourse it may be that it would never be
the same, because mythtranscode will sanitize the data...can someone
confirm whether it would? Could that be switched off?</li>
</ol>
After that I am not sure what more can be done, except fixing some
obvious bugs in mythtranscode that makes life harder (the fifowriter).<br>
