No sound. Any ideas where to look for help on this? Googling hasn't gotten me anywhere and I don't know where to start. Was thinking about installed Alsa from cvs with the hopes that it would repair any problems with my distribution's version.

Try running mythfrontend -v audio.

I am running 0.19 currently but have had this problem on svn as well. I don't get anything that looks obviously wrong from verbose output. The output is below. Please tell me if you see anything obvious. [btw- I also have 300 mS problem on A/V sync - would love some hints on that as well if you see anything].

The only other possibility is if some data the surround processor didn't
like was sent to it and it "shut down". Mine goes into automute if it gets
crap sometimes. Maybe try switching it off & on.
Cheers,

Martin

This is with AC3 enabled and dts compiled in. No sound.
