<pre wrap="">Analog cable is practically everywhere, and there are a couple of

I use the one from <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://xmltv.assies.info/">http://xmltv.assies.info/</a> it's fast and has

20-30 channels. Digital cable is getting pushed a lot, but as far as I can
see, need closed STBs to be used, and signal quality varies.
Another option is DVB-T, but these include usually less channels (e.g.
BBC1/2)

Yet another options would be digital satelite receivers, aim one at
the astra satelite and get a lot of foreign channels for free, pay a
small monthly fee and get the dutch channels as well (I believe its
about 9 euro's a month, cable subscription is about 15)
Buy another dish and aim that one at the hotbird satelite and get a
couple of hundred channels more
All in digital mpeg2 quality offcourse. You would need a set top box though.

Wander.

Hi,<br>
<br>
To get most dutch channels (exept one) and some others from satelite
you need to get the "set top box" from Canal Digitaal
(<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://www.canaldigitaal.nl">http://www.canaldigitaal.nl</a>) its "only" 39,99 euro's (10 more than
this year) for the whole year, that's 3,33 euro each month but you need
to pay for a whole year. You can "look" at 3 satelites (astra1 + 2 +
hotbird) with just 1 dish and 3 lnb's so you can get a lot of free
channels (got this setup myself).<br>
<br>
Now i'm using a satelite receiver for this setup but (very soon) i'm
going to build my own mythTV setup and I was wondering wich satelite
card people recommend ?<br>
