No kidding Warren -- it took Microsoft quite a while to work out it's CableCard deal. Yet, VWB achieves the same thing, with an Open OS? And does it without almost no fanfare? Seems odd.<br><br>But OTOH why make such an easily disproved claim? Any benefits would be very short-lived?
<br><br>Perhaps it's just a stock play -- their stock was up 5% yesterday -- and another 5% today.<br><br>Perhaps they are offering the card without the encryption keys, hoping that the encryption will be cracked by Linux geeks. But the probablity of actually going to market with a product intended for illegal purposes seems very suspect -- especially such a consumer oriented product.
