Similar to Windows Media Extenders; ie Linksys unit, X-Box 360's, etc, and<br>similar to cheaper alternatives; is there anything one can do for a<br>mythtv-extender like?<br></blockquote></div><br>I use a modded X-Box.&nbsp; Other than the menus being a little slow, it works great for me.
<br>There's also the Hauppauge Media MVP, and the the Roku PhotoBridge HD.&nbsp; I've never used either of these, but they look like they're small and quiet.<br>I'm pretty sure they only play mpeg2 recordings, but the Roku will play HD.
