Do you know how&nbsp; this interacts with Xine? When playing a dvd, I
don't see anything mounted. And even issuing hdparm after starting
playing doesn't help the noise level much. Playback does however get
choppier, so it might actually work on the disc speed, but not on the
noise level of my particular drive.<br>
<br>
&nbsp;I probably will have to look for a new/better dvd-rewriter. Does
anyone have a good recomendation with respect to brand/type?<br>
