I have a Dish PVR, which has a few recorded programs on it.

Right now I'm struggling to get the Dish recordings recorded onto the
Myth box. What I'm currently doing, very poorly, is get to a channel
that has a

A Manual Recording should be exactly what you're looking for.
When you set up a manual recording you tell Myth what time to start,
what channel to tune to, and how long to record. In your case
channel won't matter much, but you could set the start time to about a
minute from now, set the recording length to however long your show is
(plus a few minutes to be sure you get everything recorded), then
switch to your dish PVR and highlight the program you want to
record. Then switch back to Myth and wait on the Watch Recordings
screen until you see your manual recording start. When you see
that, just hit enter on your Dish remote to start the program you had
highlighted. Myth should then happily record for however long you
told it to.
