I'm having troubles getting my box stable while watching video in
Mythtv. The box freezes, sound repeats last known sound, only way to
shutdown is power switch, no var/log/messages errors, no backend
errors, no frontend errors. I'm not sure how to pinpoint where the
error is coming from. Last month I was running kernel 2.6.13
along with mythtv 0.18 and everything was happy. In order to fulfill
documentation needs for myself I tore down the system and built new.
Even when using mythtv 0.18 the system still freezes.
How might I create a test to narrow the possible culprit down.
The box normally freezes within about 1-2 hours when watching tv or a
recorded show. I've regularly left mythtv running at the main menu for
long periods of time and don't get the freezes. I've left the box up
for days at a time without lockups. I'm beginning to narrow it down to
ONLY happening while watching video through mythtv. Does that mean it's
my hd3000 drivers or firmware? While watching LiveTV could my Nvidia
drivers finally be hitting a brick wall somehow? It's confusing
the heck outta me! THanks for any help.
