<DIV>i just started using mythtv, and want to make my recordings more portable.
so i figured that transcoding would be the best option. i have a pvr-250, so the
resulted recording is a mpeg-2 file, when you transcode you get a mpeg-4 file
with the .nuv extention. i'm new to the video encoding thing, and wondering what
exactly is the purpose of that file, and how can get it to play on my windows
machine, or my pocket pc. are there any guides on the internet that will give me
instruction on exactly whats going on, to give me a better understanding of the
process?</DIV>
<DIV>thanks</DIV>
