One of our MythTV systems has died, and will not now boot.
I'll give some details and ask for opinions and/or guesses
as to which component is the most likely to have failed.

The system has an ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe motherboard with an
AMD Athlon64 4000+ processor. It runs Fedora Core 3 and
MythTV from CVS in May 2005. The last major update was the
addition of an HD-5000 card in September 2005. It has been
running without error since then.

Power-On/Boot

At power-on, there is no beep, but the "ASUS motherboard"
screen appears on the monitor. Pressing DEL to enter the
BIOS Setup does nothing. Inserting the FC3 DVD and powering on
does the same thing (nothing).

I have disconnected the cables to the two SATA drives (SATA1 and SATA2)
and powered on. This made no difference, still no beep, no POST messages.

The Question

Which component is the most likely to have failed? Motherboard,
AMD Athlon64 4000+ processor, memory, or other?

Any thoughts, ideas, or similar experiences will be greatly appreciated.

--
MM
