<div class="MsoNormal">I had the same problem with the firmware not loading using the kernel-smp-2.6.15-1.1830_FC4 kernel. I read on a previous post to use smart instead of yum. Everything seems to be working fine as of last night. This was a brand new box and I did the entire install using smart following your guide. Just <br>booted off the 1830 kernel myself, and ivtv wouldn't ever load the <br>firmware file, so at least you're getting further than I am. :) Back <br>to 1656, everything works fine.
