Thanks, I can't even get to an install prompt however. The term
"Kernel Panic" doesn't quite describe what is going on with my machine,
but it is close.<br>

found that you need to type a few characters of gibberish at the
install prompt, then press enter. Then you can go ahead with the
install and you won't get the kernel panic anymore. I can't remember
what the exact problem was but that did fix it.

I try to install FD 4 onto the MSI machine, I get what appears to be a
Kernel Panic while booting from disk (cd# 1). Oddly, FD 3 runs like a
champ on the MSI machine. (FD 4 will not work either as an
upgrade or orginal install).
