serial port and USB and see if I can't get them on seperate IRQ's. I think James is probably right<br>as to what creates this problem. But I think my problem exists when the HD3000 and the SB Live are<br>on the same IRQ because it only seems to happen when sound is being used.
<br><br>More to come later.....<br><br>-Mike<br></blockquote></div><br><br>On my combined FE/BE, cx-88 and emu10k1x are not on the same IRQ, but some USB's and eth0 and emu10k1x are. I'll play with it sometime next week. 'coz I'll be away over the weekend.
<br><br>Still not sure if my BIOS will allow me to diable the parallel port. And I don't where to tell the kernel not to load parport module.<br><br>DS<br>
