When watching live tv and recordings, does myth use xv or the mplayer<br>settings from the videos => player => settings page?<br><br>The reason I ask is because I have mplayer working with '-vo x11' but<br>'-vo xv' gives me funky artifacts on playback. Mythvideo seems to use

MythTV uses XV, although you can turn it off with an environment
variable. (NO_XV). However, it would be a really good idea to get
XV working, as it helps performance a lot. FYI, MythTV proper
doesn't use mplayer or mplayer settings at all.<br>
