Hi folks,<br><br>I have a theoretical question about the NuppelVideo container format<br>used by MythTV.<br>Why does it save video in this format and not in MPEG-2 video stream?<br>As I understand saving MPEG-2 video stream in NuppelVideo format is
<br>very much space-consuming.<br>Thus for instance 1,756MB Myth native format can be saved in DVD<br>quality but as much as 899MB only!!! It's twice bigger than the DVD<br>quality.<br>Why Myth format is so large and why can't it be saved in raw MPEG-2 video
<br>stream for later playback?<br><br>Thanks in advance.
