I just noticed a post by John P Poet concerning lirc and kernel 2.6.14.<br>

Apparently there is an issue with this kernel and lirc. <br>

Maybe this is what my trouble with my machine is.<br>
<br>
I'll try using the latest beta and see if that fixes my problem.<br>

I'm currently running 2.6.14-1.1637_FC4smp.<br>
