(using nv driver in xorg.conf) and Hauppauge PVR-500 card. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

font-family:Arial'>My computer seems to detect the Hauppauge card correctly, as
I see the ivtv lines in dmesg. However, my basic video test fails and
crashes the machine. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

font-family:Arial'>When I do the following: “/bin/cat /dev/video0 >
test.mpg”, the machine hangs and I have to reboot. <o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

font-family:Arial'>The output I get for both the tuners on the card reads<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>

font-family:Arial'>“ioctl: VIDEO_STATUS = Bad”<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
