Hi all,<br>
<br>
I'm having trouble getting my Xorg configured properly...it's probably
something simple, but it seems to have something to do with XV. I
must confess I know little about Xorg configuration. I can't get
mplayer, tvtime, xawtv, etc to run because they complain about not
having overlay support.<br>
<br>
I'm using a PVR-500, 0.3.9 ivtv drivers. I have at one point in
the past gotten video out of the /dev/videoX devices, and I'm pretty
sure they work...I believe X is configured incorrectly. I've
included error output from each of the three programs below.<br>
<br>
For tvtime, my output is:<br>
<br>
localhost ~ # DISPLAY=:0.0 tvtime<br>
Running tvtime 0.9.15.<br>
Reading configuration from /etc/tvtime/tvtime.xml<br>
Reading configuration from /root/.tvtime/tvtime.xml<br>

<br>
*** tvtime requires hardware YUY2 overlay support from your video card<br>
*** driver. If you are using an older NVIDIA card (TNT2), then<br>
*** this capability is only available with their binary drivers.<br>

*** If unsure, please check with your distribution to see if your<br>
*** X driver supports hardware overlay surfaces.<br>
<br>
For xawtv, my output is:<br>
<br>
localhost ~ # DISPLAY=:0.0 xawtv<br>
This is xawtv-3.94, running on Linux/i686 (2.6.12-gentoo-r10)<br>
