I just tried it over 802.11g. It seems okay, didn't see the freezes. I did however see the audio cutting out/in sometimes but still watchable, blaming it on the wireless for now though. I think my signal is bad here... Here are some more details:

I am using the VLC player over a wireless lan with a good 11 mb
connection and I can see the very beginning of the show with audio then
it freezes althougth the counter keeps going. Does anyone else have
this working over a wireless lan? Thanks for any input

The simplest thing I have used for this purpose are:
1. symlinking untility that renames complicated.nuv nice_name.nuv
files. I think this script can be found in the contrib directory.
2. Samba to share files with CIFS/windows
3. videolan player to open play files. Some other players will attempt to open the entire file before playing it.

On 8/11/05, Daniel Agar <
because I don't have cable. I've found they actually like using it too but
it would be convenient if they could use mythweb to just click on the
recording and play it on their windows pc. I just need a basic media
player for windows that can view this nuv video in windows, recorded using
a pvr 150. Doesn't need to be complicated, just click on the link and have
the video play in full at full screen in windows.

Thanks
