The OP just wanted to be able to capture a show every night and then<br>loop it endlessly the next day. Scripting Myth is a good idea, but<br>overkill for that problem.<br><br>If the front-end machine is just displaying video and nothing else, then
<br>he could skip the whole MythTV frontend (and X11 for that matter) and<br>just have a cron job that retrieves the most recent capture and plays it<br>with mplayer in endless-loop mode using the SVGA or FrameBuffer driver.
