Hmmm, I see from my reading and your post<br>
that apt-get supports regex in the package name.<br>

Interesting, and I will probably get by with this, but<br>
it seems to me from my research, so far, that<br>
debian doesn't have a system restore option or undo function<br>
for package/system changes.<br>

Has no one ever created a package to track what<br>
was changed so it can be rolled back to a previous state?<br>
