Forgive me if this has been asked before, or if I'm asking in the wrong
group (maybe ivtv)?<br />But is it possible, using mythtv, to record from
a source using the optical IN on my soundcard, and actually keep it in
it's original format?<br /><br />I have a pretty standard setup:<br
/>Athlon XP 2500+<br />PVR-250 MCE<br />Turtle Beach Catalina with optical
IN/OUT<br /><br />MythTV is compiled from CVS and I am using ALSA for
sound.<br /><br />I'm hooked up to a Dishnetwork reciever and some
channels actually broadcast DD5.1, so my intention is to grab this signal
as the audio stream, if possible.<br /><br />Thanks for any help...<br
