<P><FONT SIZE=2>Thanks for the response. I figured out what I was doing wrong - it's</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>actually pretty stupid on my part. When setting up the new frontend I</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>did some changes to the backend as well. I changed the hostname for</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>the backend which killed the backends ability to stream the video to</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>the frontend since all the recordings were done with a different</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>hostname. I had to go into mysql and change the hostname for each</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>recording to the new hostname. Once I did this streaming worked great</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>and ff/rw were very quick. Now I understand a little more how the</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>client/server operations work with MythTV.</FONT>

<P><FONT SIZE=2>The only reason I can figure to mount the server would be if I wanted</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>the recordings from my frontend/slave (which has a PVR-350 in it) to be</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>stored on the master backend. Otherwise all recordings on the slave</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>would be stored on the slave machine itself. I kind of like the idea of</FONT>
<BR><FONT SIZE=2>a central repository for my recordings.</FONT>
