I'm not using the tuner at all, there is no cable attached to
the cable input. The only thing attached to the PVR is my satellite receiver
through the s-video input and an audio cable.
Dish has channels numbering
from as low as 2 all the way up to 9999. Of course I don't get all those
channels, but I do get channels that are in that range. All the channels are
listed on the EPG. The guide is populated and updating correctly from
DataDirect.

So, in the EPG there are channels listed WELL above 125, as
high as 9000. No, there are not 9000 channels :) there is a lot of empty
space in that range.

I don't have IR set up yet, I'm in the process of
building a transceiver. But, if I use the keyboard and type in 25, the osd will
display "25 - - program info - -", if I then type in 126, the osd will display
"25 - - program info - -" if I type in ANY number above 125, the osd will
display "25 - - program info - -". if I type in 38, the osd will display "38 - -
program info - -" as long as the channel is BELOW 125 the osd updates.

It
is not controlling the satellite receiver yet. I still have to use the satellite
remote to actually change the channel, but it should at least be updating the
osd when I type on keyboard.

If I type in 555 <enter> on the
keyboard, myth should DISPLAY "555 - - Program Info - - -" on the osd, whether
or not it actually changed the channel on the receiver, it should THINK it did.

asking.

The PVR is set to use s-video, myth is set to use s-video, I
have nothing defined in myth to use anything other than s-video.
Hitting
"c" does nothing since nothing is set as an alternative to
s-video.

myth can't set the osd to a channel that's not on the cable
tuner?

I understand that an external script can send the IR command to
whatever channel I want, it just seems weird that the osd is limited to 125
channels. ( I can see and browse to those channels, but if i select one, it
sends the command then displays something <125.)

If I am on channel
555 and hit "i" the OSD says that I'm on some channel <125 and I can't tell
what channel I'm actually on unless I grab the Sat remote and hit display,
then wait till the display catches up with the DVR.

Does that make more

telling the *PVR* tuner to tune that - and it only goes to 125 so the
