I'm sorry if I'm not making myself clear in what I'm asking.<br><br>
The PVR is set to use s-video, myth is set to use s-video, I have nothing
defined in myth to use anything other than s-video.<br>
Hitting "c" does nothing since nothing is set as an alternative
to s-video.<br><br>
myth can't set the osd to a channel that's not on the cable tuner?
<br><br>
I understand that an external script can send the IR command to whatever
channel I want, it just seems weird that the osd is limited to 125
channels. ( I can see and browse to those channels, but if i select one,
it sends the command then displays something <125.) <br><br>
If I am on channel 555 and hit "i" the OSD says that I'm on
some channel <125 and I can't tell what channel I'm actually on unless
I grab the Sat remote and hit display, then wait till the display catches
up with the DVR.<br><br>
Does that make more sense to what I'm asking?<br><br>
Thanks for the feedback,<br><br>

<blockquote type=cite class=cite cite="">I think that's because you are
telling the *PVR* tuner to tune that - and it only goes to 125 so the
command fails. When you used the s-video there is no internal tuner, so
the ch# is just passed to the external script.<br><br>

<blockquote type=cite class=cite cite="">ok yes, that's part of it and I
am in the process of building a IR transceiver ( more to come on that
later, you guys may like this solution).<br><br>
The other part is that myth doesn't change to anything above 125. Say
that I'm on ch25, and I want to switch to 255, I type in
2552<enter> or <space>. Myth freezes for a few seconds and
displays ch25 on the OSD, if i go back into the EPG it says that I'm on
ch25. Is there a way to get myth to change the OSD and EPG to actually
change to channels above 125?<br><br>

<blockquote type=cite class=cite cite="">Well your question is not very
clear.<br>
Let assume that you want to change chanels on your dishnetwork reciver
that<br>
is hooked up s-video then you need to get lirc and wireless transmiter
look<br>
at<br>
<a href="http://www.mmdsi.com/mythtv/MythTV_DISH_IR_LED_TX_via_Modified_LIRC.html" eudora="autourl">http://www.mmdsi.com/mythtv/MythTV_DISH_IR_LED_TX_via_Modified_LIRC.html</a><br><br>
After you installed all then you need to go to setup and in source it
should<br>
let you select scrip that will change chanels for you.<br>
