Why not simply replace the contents of ~mythtv (or whatever the user home
directory is) with the contents of /etc/skel (or the equivalent path on
your system)? This should be the same as creating a new user
without the kludge factor.<br>

deleted or renamed some of them - nothing worked. Finally I created
a new user, set it up to login as mythtv2, and haven't had the problem
since. Stupid solution, I know, but it was much faster than
