I do have it set like that. Muted, unmuted you name it I've
done it. This is the same result I got when I tried the onboard sound(intel8x0)
chip. So I bought a SoundBlaster Live off Ebay thinking that would solve my
problem. Everything loads up fine. I just installed the new alsa 1.0.1 with the
same results -No Sound-. I can play DVD's, music CD's, and XMMS even works. The
alsa test file sounds good. One thing I have noticed is that I do not have an
alsasound file, so the service never really starts. I have done the alsa
chkconfig step to add alsasound but I get errors. I do have a alsasound.lock
file but all thats in there is the number 6492. My other mythbox does not have
this file either so I just said oh well. Any help would be
appreciated.
