I had problems with OSS on RedHat 9 -- audio sync issues and mythmusic didn't even work at all. Once I made the switch to ALSA, everything has been very smooth.<BR>

That is bizarre that audio is missing for recorded files. I have never encountered that.<BR>

Since sound is recorded by the PVR directly, and I checked that it is
recording of sound that is not working, playback is working fine (I can
play movies that were recorder previeously with sound).
