<DIV><FONT face="Times New Roman, Times, Serif">I am new to MythTV. I am using RedHat 8.0. I followed all the instructions, installed MySQL, Lame etc as directed and then compiled MythTV. I went through the setup process which went fine. XMLTV gathered all the listings after performing 'mythfilldatabase'. But now when I issue 'mythbackend' I am getting the following message:</FONT></DIV>

<DIV>I turned off the firewall in RH 8.0. It didn't help.</DIV>
<DIV>What am I doing wrong? What do I do now? Somebody please help me out.</DIV>
