[mythtv-users] Current state of recording IPTV?

We don't seem to have much current on the wiki about recording IPTV 'just like
it was cable', but with the recent deployment of symmetrical fiber by Frontier
in some neighborhoods around Tampa FL -- including mine -- and because *they
are not providing TV service at all; they'll give you a $10/mo discount on
Youtube TV for between 12 and 36 months, depending on whom you believe --
the issue is more pressing to me.

What is, then, the current state of using MythTV in its traditional guide and
channels fashion to record from one or another IPTV provider which has US
local channels (preferably) and network/OTT services? Is this yet possible?

Or has the analog hole finally closed?

Cheers,
-- jra
