I'll echo the "I don't know for sure" but in my very limited experience 
it seems the upgrade of the Operating System on which MythTV is running 
might be the culprit.  Here I have an old Frontend -- think the BIOS is 
dated 2008 -- and it runs MythTV v34 just fine.  Admittedly it won't use 
anything newer than Ubuntu from  six or seven years ago.

Another few year old Frontend has a Nvidia GT218 (GeForce 210) video 
card.  That card doesn't play nice with Ubuntu 24.04 but with 22.04 
they're best buddies.  From what I have read the problem is the video 
card no longer being supported.
