The reports of TV's death are somewhat
exaggerated.

Some stations in the UK have stated their
plan to move to on-line only in less than
a decade.

The director general of the BBC has stated
that the switch off of classic broadcast TV
will (and, importantly, should) happen over
time, as on-line distribution is clearly the
future.

Ofcom (the UK's telecommunications
regulatory agency) has in their remit
insuring that all of the UK's citizen have
affordable Internet connectivity, so
that distributing "TV" content via the
Internet should be a viable future
option.

The exact dates of ending classic OTA
TV broadcasting are not yet written into
regulations, but the discussions are
happening. Stay tuned :-).
