Hi Mike, Stephen!

Summary: We’re getting real close!

> Your hostnames aren't hostnames -- they are IP addresses, not the same thing at all.

I was wondering about that. The example I saw indicated the IP addresses
which didn’t seem quite right.

> sudo mysql mythconverg

> MariaDB [mythconverg]> select * from settings where value='MasterServerName';
> +------------------+-------+----------+
> | value | data | hostname |

> | MasterServerName | mypvr | NULL |
> +------------------+-------+----------+

Glad you posted that example as without I would have seen mine
outputting the ‘NULL’ for hostname and semi-freaked out! Putting with
Mike’s hostnames comment I’d see NULL but here it’s athe data output
(which was ‘BE4’ and ‘BE5’). How I get confused!

Redid the mythconverg_backup and mythconverg_restore steps. Glad Stephen
added his comment on the MasterServerIP settings as mine definitely
needed that correction.

For whomever wrote the “If this is not intended as a slave backend,
please go to Setup, General, Host Address Backend Setup, and select
"This server is the Master Backend" or else set the correct custom
identifier on the Database Setup page. Save and Restart the backend,”
portion: ends with a comma which I think is a typo, though could be more
instruction which didn’t come though on my screen.

Right now good news and bad news. Good news is saw /Next upcoming
recording: I Love Lucy at 11/17/2024, 11:30:00 AM. Status: Will Record/
– not 11:30 so don ‘t know if recording.

Bad news: every listing has an ‘x’ – presume part of that is the machine
has a ton of jobs to do to get caught up.

Other thing I noted was:

System Status > Machine Status:

Total Disk Space:

Unknown

0 hours remaining, using your average rate of 8489 kb/s

0 hours remaining, using your maximum rate of 12107 kb/s

barry at BE5:~$ df -h

Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on

/dev/sdb2 3.6T 1.7T 1.8T 50% /mount/WD_4TB

Right now I’m thinking the problem might be with permissions. Haven’t
checked yet as wanted to get this progress report posted.

So, so far a lot better than yesterday! Yay!

Barry
