I would expect any needed support to be in the MythTV/packaging repo at:

   https://github.com/MythTV/packaging

I don't track the commits to that repo, but I seem to recall
a discussion about the impacts of PEP 668, and I expect
that repo would have gotten updated at some point (the
deb packaging in that repo is maintained be a number of
individuals who make sure things keep working/building).
