[mythtv-users] accessing the web app using a vpn

As part of setting up a new router I'm down to the last piece, getting the
VPN working. I need to monitor servers while on the road. I'm testing
this by connecting my laptop wifi to my T-Mobile Home internet which my
main home network does not use. The main router is connected to Spectrum
cable internet.

At this point when connected to T-mobile I can turn on the VPN and it
connects. (the vpn server is provided by the new router.) I can open a
terminal and ssh into the mythtv-backend and any other server. On my
IOTstack server I can ssh into it and connect my Firefox browser to the
grafana web page to monitor some temp sensors running on that system.

However, I can't get to the webapp for mythtv-backend. I get an immediate
error:

*The connection was resetThe connection to the server was reset while the
page was loading. The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy.
Try again in a few moments. If you are unable to load any pages, check
your computer’s network connection. If your computer or network is
protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to
access the web*.

Since I address the mythtv-backend using IP address and port only, it
should not need any dns resolution.

Any ideas?
