From my Windows 11 box, if I go to Networks in File Explorer, I can
see both of my v34 MythTV boxes listed as "MythTV AV media server".
Opening the icons takes me to port 6550 in my default browser, which
is the mythbackend builtin web server. I also get another icon
"MythTV AV Renderer" which takes me to mythfrontend port 6551, which
gives me a mythfrontend status page. I can take a minute or two
before all the icons show up.
In Linux, I do not know of any software which does a similar job of
finding everything that is advertising itself on the network. It may
exist though. For just finding uPnP servers, VLC works OK.
