[mythtv-users] amd graphics and mythfrontend

I just replaced my system with an amd 5700g with amd graphics on board.
in mythfrontend if anyone knows how to get either vaapi or vdpau to
fully work i could use the pointers.
i have the arch recommended packages and have normal responses from
vainfo and vdpauinfo

when i set mythfronted to vdpau accel. i get sound and a blank screen
set to vdpau decode only: it works
same with vaapi, except on vaapi it just defaults to ffmpeg.

if it makes a difference i am playing on a 4k monitor set at 4k. 
on the vaapi, it did not even do the vaapi decode until i changed
environment variable LIBVA_DRIVER_NAME=radeonsi

thanks for any info if anyone knows.
