[mythtv-users] Trying to get mythexternrecorder working, but Not quite yet.

Well, I gave up trying to get mythtv to digest raw v4l jpeg video, and now have a six year old i5 running that has the capture device on it.

I am able to create 1920x1080x30 video both locally on the machine, and remotely via an ssh connection from the rpi4 backend and I have verified that it does give me an mpeg2ts stream by using vlc on the rpi4.

I have set up my 2 conf files , ffmpeg.conf and ffmpeg-channel.conf. 

Ffmpeg.conf has the entry for the recorder, and the ffmpeg command to remote to the i5 machine, and the ffmpeg capture does work.

The ffmpeg-channels.conf has 1 channel defined with just name and call sign for it.

The problem I am having is that when I try to use that channel, I only get the TL____  like it is trying to tune something, even tho I have nothing telling it to ‘tune’ .. that I know of. 

Any pointers or additional information needed that would help?
