 mariadb --version
mariadb  Ver 15.1 Distrib 10.5.19-MariaDB, for debian-linux-gnu (x86_64)
using  EditLine wrapper

The thread you cite is interesting because it shows a recent update to
maria.
The last on my system seems (in dpkg.log) from 2023-03-11:
upgrade mariadb-server-core-10.5:amd64 1:10.5.18-0+deb11u1
1:10.5.19-0+deb11u1
which was quite awhile before I noticed a problem. This is a later version
than reported in the post you linked to. However, the system was up
continuously from 2023-03-05 until the problems on 2023-04-04, so maybe the
old binaries were in use until then.. Although I think the upgrade stops
the database, and I think I remember waiting til myth wasn't active before
applying the update to mariadb.
