So it is likely a priorities issue.  If you go to the show in the
upcoming recordings list and hit I twice and scroll down, you should
get a list of the priorities applied to the show.  Do that where it
does not record on the first available slot, and compare with where it
does record and see what is different.  To see the not-recording
entries in the upcoming list, hit 1.  To go back to the usual list
with only the ones that are going to record, hit 2.
