[mythtv-users] Reds gone from HDPVR recordings

Does anyone know if there is a way to see if I'm getting a signal out of
the red channel on my cable box *without *connecting it to a monitor with
composite inputs (which I don't have)? Should I be able to measure a
voltage that would be absent if it were dead, for example?
