I use the TBS6205( not s2) and a another TBS6902 (S2) and they work fine.
Not to hard to build and run well.

Down side is remembering to rebuild kernel after an update.
I just avoid doing that now.
Running on Debian 11.
The S2 card is not running mythtv, but is listening to a sat feed to get 
the news for a radio station.
It uses mplayer to tune and output the audio over jack.

I have tested the video side as well and it all works as it should.
