Some years ago stuart offered sage advice. I'm hoping that he or others may offer help:

For 2 weeks my austrialian nbn internet has not been working.

My backend also does dns and dhcp (using dnamasq)
upnp has been working well enough. (samsung tv is a bitch!)
mythtv setup and software has not changed
backend has no firewall.

I setup a machine as a gateway, using firewalld using a phone hotspot.
I then copied the setup to backend. backend firewall was enabled. Performance was aweful and I undid the setup BUT BE has a wireless connection to hotspot to be able to serve DNS.

NETFLIX for my wife says "thats not internet, I need internet"

So upnp except that it is not working! I can't see anything! remote backends do work and this mail shows I do have access, gateways are correct etc.
Where can I look?

BE is NOT using my gateway but is directly accessing the hotspot.
I'm out of my depth, help
James
