To avoid the problem in future,

Frontend -> Setup -> Video -> General -> General (Auto-Expire)

In there, you can set "Time to Retain Deleted Recordings (days). Set 
that to more than 0, and the deleted recording will remain in the 
Deleted group on your system for that number of days. Within that time 
you can undelete it as described before. For example, if you set it as 
7, you can recover a deleted recording for 7 days. If it is set as 0, 
you can only recover them for about 20 minutes after you delete them in 
mythfrontend.
